1. Take time out
It’s impossible to think clearly when you’re flooded with fear or anxiety.
Unfortunately, many of us spend 8 hours a day sitting at a desk while working in a cubicle.

The first thing to do is take time out so you can physically calm down.
Distract yourself from the worry for 15 minutes by walking around the block, making a cup of tea or having a bath.
2. Breathe through panic
One of the most outstanding signs of fear is a faster heartbeat or sweaty palms.
The best thing is not to fight it.
Just stay where you are and simply feel the panic without trying to distract yourself.
Place the palm of your hand on your stomach and breathe slowly and deeply. The goal is to help the mind get used to coping with panic, which takes the fear away.
3. Face your Problems
Many people experience fear and anxiety because they are dealing with specific problems. The stress and anxiety come about because these problems are eating away at them and they aren’t doing anything to alleviate their burden.
Avoiding problems only make them scarier and dreadful. Whatever your fear, if you face it, it should start to fade. If you panic one day after getting into a lift, for example, it’s best to get back into a lift the next day.
Another way of alleviating the pain of difficult life situations is to talk about them over with the people that are closest to you.
By talking out our problems, we are proactively looking for a solution and getting it out of us so that it doesn’t stay all bottled up inside.
4. Look at the Proof
It sometimes helps to challenge fearful thoughts.
For example, if you’re scared of getting trapped in a lift and suffocating, ask yourself if you have ever heard of this happening to someone else somewhere.
Ask yourself what you would say to a friend who had a similar fear.
5. Go back to the basics
Lots of people turn to alcohol or drugs to self-treat anxiety and fear, but this will only worsen matters. Simple, everyday things like a good night’s sleep, a wholesome meal and a walk are often the best cures for anxiety.
6. Just Say No
Some people never learned how to say no.
We fill our schedules to the brim with so many activities and responsibilities that we begin to develop fear, stress, and anxiety. Learning to say no is an easy way to lower stress and anxiety levels.
By keeping your schedule as clear as possible, you’ll have much more time to relax, think, and ultimately take steps to do things that make you feel good instead of feeling overly stressed.
So do yourself a favor and say no to extraneous activities that will not add any real value to your life.
7. Eat Healthy Foods
Eating junk food never makes you feel your best. On the other hand, when we eat healthy fruits and vegetables, we will feel fantastic nearly 100% of the time.
So, if you’re trying to feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually, healthy eating is definitely the best choice.
8. Reward yourself
Finally, give yourself a treat; spend some quality time with yourself.
When you’ve made that call you’ve been dreading, for example, reinforce your success by treating yourself to a massage, a walk, a meal out, a book, a movie, or whatever little gift makes you happy.
