Nigeria’s fast-rising music icon, Burna Boy, is making the news again within the West Africa sub-region entertainment and showbiz circle after he declared himself as the best artist in Africa since late Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti, passed on.<\/p>\n
“In Fact! I always knew that I was and I\u2019m the best. Everyone you think is the best know I am the best since Fela Kuti, but Timaya told me something a long time ago that made me not care about being the best. \u201cThe World can do without the Best\u201d the world will still spin regardless,” he declared<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Nigerian artist said he is a self-made artist disregarding claims that he was shinning on a beaten path courtesy of music giants that have passed on. He said nobody paved way for him as everyone was busy finding their ground.<\/p>\n The Grammy-nominated Nigerian artist tweeted, \u201cif you knew the way they made us look weak by begging and paying the western world to like us you will see that no table was set and I am the one that earned you the Respect you currently enjoy\u201d<\/p>\n Also, Burna Boy said he is not moved by pretentious admiration and that he will walk his talk and attains the height of his drum beats.<\/p>\n The same people that wish you the best to your face are the same people that hope and pray you Fail so that they can feel better about themselves.
