The cause of the death of Caroline Flack as been ruled as a case of suicide by hanging. The former Love Island presenter was discovered hanged at her residence in East London, but an inquest into the cause of her death was heard earlier today.
Caroline Flack, 40, the English radio and television presenter was found dead at her residence on the afternoon of Saturday 15th February 2020 barely three weeks she would be appearing in court for alleged assault on Lewis Burton, her boyfriend in December 2019.
This is coming hours after Caroline’s family made public her last unpublished Instagram post because she has been advised not to make public because of her arrest on the alleged assault on Lewis Burton.
The post reads;
“For a lot of people, being arrested for common assault is an extreme way to have some sort of spiritual awakening but for me, it’s become normal.
“I have been pressing the snooze button on many stresses in my life – for my whole life. I have accepted shame and toxic opinions on my life for over 10 years and yet told myself it is all part of my job. No complaining!
“The problem with brushing things under the carpet is… They are still there and one day someone is going to lift that carpet and all you are going to feel is shame and embarrassment.
“On December 12th, 2019, I was arrested for assault on my boyfriend …Within 24 hours my whole world and future were swept from under my feet and all the walls that I had taken so long to build around me, collapsed. I’m suddenly on a different kind of stage and everyone is watching it happen.”
However, Caroline insisted that she was not a domestic abuser and what happened in the evening in December was just an accident.
The coroner officer, Sandra Polson, said the police were flagged down on Saturday 15th February as they drove through Stoke Newington. She said Ms. Flack was seen hanging and they tried reviving before the arrival of the paramedics, but later pronounced dead at the scene. Her corpse was identified by Jody Flack, her twin sister before the commencement of the inquest
The hearing only lasted for about 4 minutes and Ms. Flack’s family members were conspicuously absent. It was, however, adjourned till 5th August.
